Recently, in the Zhejiang Zhongjing Cable Co., Ltd., a brand-new intelligent cable production line has been officially put into operation, presenting a bustling production scene in the workshop.
Founded in 2002, Zhongjing Cable has grown from a small workshop to a technology-based enterprise integrating R&D, production, trade, and service, relying on solid product quality and comprehensive market layout. Today, the company's products cover multiple categories including power cables, home decoration cables, engineering cables, automotive cables, and communication signal cables, and are widely used in power, automotive, railway, chemical and other fields. They are exported to dozens of countries and regions around the world, earning a good reputation both at home and abroad.
With the rise of the new energy vehicle industry, the accelerated development of 5G infrastructure, and the successive commencement of a number of major domestic projects, the demand for cables has continued to heat up, and the order volume of Zhongjing Cable has also risen accordingly. "Now many orders are already scheduled for the second half of the year. The existing production capacity simply can't handle it. Expanding and upgrading production is an urgent matter."
The newly launched production line is specifically designed for the intelligent production of high-end cables. When Mr. Ding showed the reporter around, he introduced that this line is equipped with multiple sets of high-precision automated production equipment and testing instruments, covering the entire process of cable production from wire drawing, stranding, extrusion to final inspection. "Compared with the old production line, the efficiency has increased by more than 40%, and more importantly, the level of intelligence is high," he said, pointing at the screen in the central control room. Through this intelligent control system, all data during the production process can be monitored and traced in real time, ensuring more stable product quality.
It is understood that this new production line mainly produces high-end products such as special cables for new energy vehicles and high-performance communication signal cables. After it goes into operation, it will be able to add an annual production capacity of 30 million kilometers. "With this line, we can not only deliver the large orders at hand more quickly, but also expand more high-end customers and have a more diverse range of products," said Mr. Ding with great confidence.


"In the past, when the old line was busy, we had to work non-stop. Now, with the intelligent equipment, the workload has decreased and the efficiency has increased," said a worker who was on inspection. Mr. Ding added that the new production line not only alleviated the capacity bottleneck but also promoted local employment, adding impetus to the regional economic development.
Over the years, the company has been deeply engaged in technological research and development and has obtained multiple patents related to cables. This new production line incorporates the company's independently developed core technologies such as anti-corrosion and fire resistance, and the products it produces have obvious advantages in terms of high-temperature resistance, anti-interference, and safety.
"Next, taking the commissioning of this new production line as an opportunity, we will continue to increase investment in research and development, and make further efforts in intelligent production and the upgrading of high-end products," Mr. Ding said. The company hopes to continuously enhance its core competitiveness to capture a larger share in the fierce market competition and also contribute to the high-quality development of China's cable industry.
